Sagas

Sagas are the living history of the Space Wolves, preserving the battles, deeds, victories and sacrifices of the Sons of Russ.

Any Astartes may cite a Saga, yet it is a duty of a Rune Priest to immortalize them in the history of the Great Company. Each of those Sagas represent an achievement, wether it is slaying a great enemy, creating a brew that made the one that consumed it immortal, or saving a mortal life from certain death against all odds.

While the telling of Sagas belongs to every Son of Russ, the Rune Priests traditionally serve as their keepers and chroniclers.

They may aid their Brothers in recording their tales, gather accounts of worthy deeds, and maintain the Saga logs so that these stories endure beyond those who first lived them.

A Saga need not concern victory alone.

Great sacrifice, bitter defeat, acts of brotherhood, extraordinary courage and the deeds of the fallen may all earn their place within the Chapter's history.

Those wishing to formally preserve a Saga may bring it before a Rune Priest, who can record it within the Saga logs for future generations of the Rout.
